New Feature Alert: All Sites HTTPS Certified

When it comes to real estate websites, there aren’t many things more important than SEO. Ultimately, a solid built-in Search Engine Optimization structure maximizes your website traffic and online credibility – the hallmarks of any successful website.

We’re proud to announce that all of our users websites are now fully HTTPS certified. 

What is HTTPS?

Without getting overly technical, HTTP is short for Hype Text Transfer Protocol. HTTPS is the same thing, however, the added ‘S’ at the end stands for secure. In other words, HTTPS is a secure version of HTTP. Moreover, it is a technique used to secure communication between a user’s browser and a web server. Websites that are HTTPS certified have a green lock and ‘Secure’ verification to the left of the URL field.

Why should you care?

The shift to HTTPS impacts everyone! Security is a top priority for Google and they are clearly favouring secure websites over regular HTTP websites. Google’s algorithms are ever-changing and it’s imperative to stay up-to-date with the times to ensure your website is up-to-date.

What are the benefits?

• Improved Traffic – Google recently started factoring HTTPS into their ranking algorithm. This means: If your website is secure, your website is likely to perform better on search engines. 
• Improved Outlook – The value of being HTTPS certified is only likely to increase over time as Google and most other search engines look to reward the certified websites.
• Improved Credibility – Most website visitors are able to discern whether your website has a secure connection.
• Improved Security – HTTPS makes your websites less vulnerable to hackers and other third parties.  All your webpages are fully encrypted via HTTPS.
